Fortnite deactivates almost all gestures in continuous MLK experience

Fortnite The Epic Games developer added a new experience to always popular game this week known as March Through Time. The event is intended to celebrate the history and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who is one of the most prominent civil rights leaders in the history of the United States. And although the event was clearly established with good intentions, some fans quickly told himself with the way players could interact with the world in this event, that is, with the use of gestures. Now, Epic Games has heard these complaints and has decided to make a change.

From now on, EPIC has revealed that the March Through Time experience at fortnite will deactivate virtually all gestures that can normally be used in the game. While some of these emits previously could not be used in the event when it started yesterday, Epic has now blocked them all, except for those who are specifically linked to March Through Time. Specifically, this means that eight emits can still be used in total by participating in the experience, but none of them should be seen as offensive or controversial.

In response to this movement, many praised EPIC's ability to quickly perform this adjustment. For the most part, the last day was full of reactions of people from all over the world who felt a bit uncomfortable with the launch of this event. Even though March Through Time is something that is clearly destined to educate those who might not be familiar with Dr. King's life and movement, some have found that the ability to send spam to certain emoticons during the event was something disrespectful. Hopefully, this change should make the experience much more enjoyable for anyone who participates in it.

If you are looking for Try March Through Time by yourself, the experience should still be live now on all platforms that fortnite is available in. However, the event itself will not last forever and will come to an end on an indeterminate date in the future.

How do you feel with this new change in the MLK event in fortnite? Do you think it is the right movement that Epic should make? Let me know your thoughts in the comments or on Twitter in @ mooreman12.
