Big victory for Pokèmon Go: Niantic makes controversy Pokèstop
The metre (Republic spelling) or meter (American spelling; see spelling distinctions) (from the French unit mètre, from the Greek noun μέτρον, procedure) is the base unit of length in the International System of Units (SI). The SI device symbol is m. The metre is presently specified as the length of the course travelled by light in a vacuum in 1/299 792 458 of a second. The metre was initially defined in 1793 as one ten-millionth of the range from the equator to the North Pole along an excellent circle, so the Planet's circumference is approximately 40000 kilometres. In 1799, the metre was redefined in terms of a model metre bar (the actual bar utilized was transformed in 1889). In 1960, the metre was redefined in terms of a specific number of wavelengths of a certain discharge line of krypton-86. The existing interpretation was embraced in 1983 and modified slightly in 2002 to clear up that the metre is an action of appropriate size.
For several days, the community of Pokémon Go criticizes the withdrawal of the Corona bonuses in the game. A central point is the limitation of the interaction radius at the Pokéstop. Now the changes are reversed. We from Meinmmo show you what happened.
What is it? Niantic had announced a few weeks ago that they want to take back some of the Corona bonus introduced in 2020 to return to their actual game concept. That's why they started in early August in New Zealand and the US.
One of these bonuses was the interaction radius in arenas and pokéstops. This was increased by the Corona pandemic of 40 meters to 80 meters. Many coaches criticized the withdrawal of these bonuses strongly and wrote an open letter to Niantic.
Pokéstop Change is reversed
Niantic has read the open letter and informed in a public statement of 05. August 2021 on your blog that you take this topic again (via nianticlabs.com). So they promised to form a working group that develops solutions and speaks with representatives from the community.
That's what happened and Niantic announced in the late evening of August 25, 2021 on its Twitter account that you set the interaction radius from now on to 80 meters worldwide (via Twitter.com). In addition, there should be further results from the workgroup formed. This will introduce Niantic on 01. September 2021.
These are the reactions of the coaches
The message on the redemption of the lower interaction radius and the general increase to 80 meters, represents a big victory for the community. This can also be seen in the reactions to Twitter and Reddit.
The community on Twitter is looking forward to this decision. Thus, one of the biggest Pokémon Go-YouTuber Trainer Tips thank you that Niantic has listened to you (via Twitter.com). Other trainers also express their pleasure under the contribution of Niantic.
The player Hanna Inari wants to learn more about the background and writes: Now I would like to know what has moved to it, so urgently to change to 40 meters. What would you have had? If you see, you can live well with 80 meters and does not have to listen to hatred. (Via Twitter.com)
On Reddit some coaches are very surprised that it came to this change. Thus, Prettysmoothflying writes: Honestly shocking that you have undo the change. Looks like I would start playing the game! (via reddit.com).
Also swimming inspirely agrees with: I'm stunned, I was ready to drop the hammer on September 1, after I had a month ago. Nice! (via reddit.com). The coach SGVSTH also emphasizes again: You did not easily undo it. You have made it permanently. (via reddit.com).
